Where did May go???

I can't remember the last time a month flew by as quickly as this May did. I'll give a quick recap of what we've been up to lately.

A few weeks ago all of the local farmers put on "Farm Days". Every other year they all get together and bring a bunch of animals together, and show the kids all of the things that are made from the products we get from farms- they have homemade ice Cream, they make butter, they take all the kids on a tractor pulled hay ride and lots of other fun stuff. My mom came and got me and Logan to go with her the first day and she had such a good time that her and Logan went again the second day. I know a lot of work went into putting the whole thing together and I'm grateful for all the local farmers doing it so my kids can have the experience of "Farm Days".

Logan Lassoing the bull- yes he got it on his first try- must be the cowboy in him.

Logan petting a baby goat- How cute is that???

We ran into Carter who was there with his class on a fieldtrip. (Side Note: I did not send Carter to School in this outfit, this is something they wore in his class for a program so they had them all wear them that day so they'd all match and they could find them- not that I don't LOVE it I just wouldn't want to take credit for something I didn't do :)

HayRide day two with Emily and her kids.

Carter finished his first year of machine pitch baseball. He had a blast and did really good. It was fun to see him and his friends move from T-Ball to actual baseball and it surprised me to see how well they all picked it up. I am sure we have many years ahead of watching Carter Play Baseball.

Camryn had her first 4H horse meet yesterday. It lasted alllll daaaayyyyy looooong, and still at the end she wasn't ready to get off her horse so rather than going straight home we went the long route to ride with her friend Kinley to where she keeps her horse. She did awesome on all of the events- her horse Panda is kind of stubborn so she had to fight him to do what he was supposed to but she showed him who was boss. They have both come so far since the first practice a few weeks ago, I'm excited to see her get better and more confident on him this year. During the first four events Panda would try to go to the gate any time he came near it because he wanted to be done but she wouldn't let him so finally on the last event he just did it perfectly and they got a blue ribbon. All of the other events they got red ribbons. At the first practice he wouldn't do anything unless we ran behind him and threw dirt clods at him so I was pretty proud of her for sticking with it and making him do what he is supposed to.

Have you ever seen a cuter cowgirl?

Camryn and Kinley on Panda and Blue.

Last week I went to Philidelphia for work. I went with three of my coworkers, we didn't have a lot of time to play. We got there late Wednesday night and went to the famous "Geno's" for a phili cheese steak. Thursday we spent all day in meetings and finished a few hours before our flight back. We decided to go downtown to the liberty bell but when we got there we realized it was several elementary school's field trip day and their was no way we would get to go in and make our flight so we walked around a little and then headed to the airport. Hopefully I'll get to go back again and have a little more time to play next time.

LOVE Carter's hat at farm days! Interesting that a previous post Cam was starting guitar and now she's a cowgirl. Living through your daughter, maybe?
