San Diego

We spent the last week in San Diego with Heather and Jeremy J. Heather and I drove down together with our five kids and Jeremy and Jeremy each flew out for a few days, neither one could take the full week off but it worked out really good. The drive down was pretty long but we made it there Saturday afternoon, we had rented a house on Mission Beach and it was perfect for us.

Sunday afternoon Carter and Jeremy went to a baseball game and Camryn and I went to Belmont park, which is an amusement park that was about three blocks away from where we stayed. Jeremy took pictures of the game but I don't have them yet so I will post those later.

Monday we went to LegoLand, Camryn and Carter loved it- it wasn't as good for the younger kids but it was still fun. Jeremy was with us then so he was able to take the older kids on the big fun rides while Heather and I searched the park for rides that Logan, Livvy and Cohen could go on and would enjoy.

Tuesday we spent at the beach. Where we were staying was right between Mission Bay and Mission Beach, we spent most of the time on the bay side where there weren't waves to take our kids out to sea but that day we took the boogie boards and went to the Beach side. Camryn and Carter loved it but again the little kids were not as impressed. Cohen hated the sand so he didn't really care what side we were on, he spent most of the time in the stroller. Jeremy had to leave us and come home that night :(

Wednesday we went to SeaWorld, it was just Heather and I so we decided not to do the rides that day but to wait until we had Jeremy J there too. We saw all the exhibits and watched a couple shows and headed home. That night I decided to go back with Camryn and Carter to go on the rides and watch a couple of the night shows and see the fireworks, Heather was so nice to keep Logan for me on this night, and many other times, so we could do big kid stuff.

Thursday was another day at the beach (the Bay side this time though). The kids all got totally sunburned- I know I'm a horrible mom for not putting sunscreen on them, I did for the first couple days but it just wasn't that hot so it seemed like a waste of time, oops. That night we decided to take the kids to Chucky Cheese, they of course had a ball. Jeremy J joined us this night.

Friday we went back to SeaWorld in the morning and did the things that we weren't able to the other day, then we went back and just hung out at the house that night, we also went to a park that was within walking distance of our house.

Saturday we packed up and started the long ride home. It wasn't quite as long though because Jeremy J took Cohen with him on the airplane since he's under two, thus free. We stayed in St. George for a night and came home yesterday. It was super fun and Heather, Jeremy and the kids were way fun to vacation with but we were still so happy to get back home, there's really nothing like home.
